After accumulating about 40-70 hours of flight time, which includes at least 20 hours of flight training with a certified flight instructor and 10 hours of solo flight, you can qualify for a private pilot license (PPL). This license allows you to fly small aircraft! Take your family and friends flying!
Adding an instrument rating to your private pilot license is crucial for flying with reduced visibility (in clouds or heavy fog) while adhering to strict instrument fight rules (IFR). This rating increases your versatility and safety as a pilot. Increase your piloting skill with a necessary and essential rating.
A commercial pilot license (CPL) allows you to be compensated for flying. It requires at least 250 total flight hours, including time spent flying at night, cross-country, and solo. Jobs available for low time commercial pilots include: Pipeline Patrol, Traffic Watch, Aerial Survey, and Aircraft Ferrying.
Adding a Multi-Engine Rating to your Commercial Pilot License is crucial for flying for corporate aviation or the airlines. At this point you will be a master of your aircraft being able to control larger airplanes with multiple engines. This rating increases your versatility and safety as a pilot.
Certified Flight Instructor Course
Adding a Certified Flight Instructor Rating to your Commercial Pilot License is crucial for building a wealth of knowledge, while improving your Crew Resource Management skills on the flight deck. Teaching other aspiring pilots how to fly is one of the most rewarding experiences.
